The only thing that you can do now is just go right ahead and tell him u got somehting for him be reall not "fake" like ur other girls that like & remenber age dont matter on love well unless ur like 15 or more yars different thats just wrong..lol.. if he really likes u back he will like u for what u are so dont worry for being a tomboy.. but at the same time u can also be pretty good luck if u take my invise IT HAS WORKED for me..! so try it..

It sucks, but just wanting someone to like you works.
Your best bet is to work in to comversation with him that you have a crush on him, let him know that you are interested. Then all you can do is sit back and see what happens.
I know this will probably sound really arrogant but when I was in highschool, I had THAT feeling with a few different guys and everything is the beginning or the end of the world and emotions and hormones are strong but chill a little girl! Odds are you date this guy for a while, fight with your best friend over it and barely remember his name when you are 30, you know. There is totally a possibility I am wrong for sure, but most likely this is what would happen.
There is a saying "youth is wasted on the younng". If I only I had known what I know know....There are probably a ton of good looking, sweet guys at you school would you could have in a week if you let some of your insecurities go and play your cards.
Good luck with the guy though. Though I dont take the teenage FEELING that seriously, it sure can be fun for a while.

Talk to him, know him better, just talking to someone dose not show him that you love him so he'll think that you just wanna be friends. Build up your relationship till it reaches a certain point and then confess. You'll see that beeing with him almost everyday is better than just looking or flirting at him. A good relationship always begins with a conversation.

talk to him let him get to know you because he`s a freshman and your a sophmore now think about it thats all he needs plus you should show your friend out by looking better and dressing better than her and talk to him when she`s not around or write him a note and see what happens
