Some of these answers are great. I would just add that my kids always figured I really didn't know anything, so they took it upon themselves to try to be independant and smart. I give kids alot of credit. It is with patience that parents will find that later in life the kids will realize that their parents really weren't all that stupid. Give it time. The greatest things you can teach your kids is independance and to think for themselves and how to make wise choices.

I have no clue what gets in their brains. I have 3 boys under the age of 5 and they are all pistols. Screaming seems to be their favorite thing, so when they do it to be bad, I tell them that they have to keep screaming for 10 minutes. You should see how fast they stop.

Think about it. they just dont understand their actions just yet. Kids want 2 have fun and they think following the rules is safe and boring. All u have to do is show them the bad things about it. then theyll understand.

take this answer from a kid... kids do any thing to make there parents mad so if they know you dont want them to do something of course there gonna do it... expecially if there teenagers becuase they usually hate there parents and will everything bad on purpose.
