When premeditated Christians make vicious verbal attacks on others, condemning their beliefs, threatening to file false reports of abuse or just plain juvenile name-calling, are they trying to convince the asker? The other people using this site? The Creator? or perhaps themselves? If you make more noise about you "beliefs" than the next guy, do you get to Heaven quicker?

I've found that with age and experience not only does condemnation of others make less and less sense, but faith in a higher power becomes a very logical and obvious bent, and knowing that so much is unknowable becomes a comfort.

For those in the dark about premeditated christians, read also as jack-christians. Those who are false in their professed beliefs. A number of people have identified themselves as being the people mentioned in the question. Whether out of ignorance or self-recognition, I know not. Premeditated christians are those who are calculating some worldly gain out of professing falsely to have beliefs they actually shun.

it is sad but it does happen way too often. In fairness there are a lot of reasons for it and not all are bad ones. Some are just zealous and move out ahead of God. Some are young in their walk and haven't shaken off their old ways yet. Some have just enough knowledge to be a danger to themselves and others. Thats why it is important for the grounded ones to be a example not only for unbelievers but, young believers as well.

There was a story about arrogance or being self righteous in the bible.
Seems there was this priest, or spiritual leader who was standing at the top of the stairs of the temple. he was praying so he had no reason to lie. He said, "I thank you God that I do everything right, then looking down at the bottom of the stairs was this poor man on his knees crying pleading "God please for give me for I have sinned." The Pharisee upon looking at him said "thank you god that I am not like that man, a sinner."
Jesus said, "who was the better man? Who was the one forgiven? Who's prayer did God hear?"
You know the end of this story, the poor man at the bottom of the stairs. he said that god never heard the prayers of the pharisee.
Why? He didn't do anything bad? He was self righteous!
Matthew 7:21 Where he said: Not everyone saying to me Lord Lord will enter into the kingdom of the heavens. But the one doing the will of my father who is in the heavens. Many will say to me in that day. Lord, Lord did we not prophecy in your name and expell demons in your name. and yet I will confess to them I never knew you get away from me you workers of lawlessness.
what did the religious leaders do so bad in those days?
They the bible says were money lovers, they were rich at the expense of the poor.

Mixing an individuals ignorant actions, with a God that forgives all who ask and tells them to be humble and love others as much as they do themselves... is a bad picture to look at. But, this is true with anything. Cars to gods.

No.

BTW - I'm copying that and saving it for use against unbelievers. All I need to do is a few changes like the word "Christian" for "Atheist" to make it work.

Thanks!
