In general, it's no extra charge to check two lugguges that are under 50lbs each for domestic flights. International flights will allow more lugguge and higher weight before charging you extra, I think. To be sure, go to the website of the airline you'll be flying to find out what their specific rules are concerning number of, size, and weight for checked lugguge.

The usual for Us flights are 1 carry on +1 personal item + 2 checked bags no more than 50 pounds.. this is the regular standard for mayor airlines. You still should check with the carrier you are traveling, because they could have changed their bag allowance and you don't want to have any surprises when at the airport.

For luggage under 50 lbs, there is no charge. If you check your bags at the curb, there could be a $2.00 charge based on the airline. It is important to note that the charge does not include tip. Since these guys are in control of where your baggage goes, it works out in your best interest to tip. :)

It does not cost to check two bags per person with most domestic airlines as long as your bags weigh less then 50lbs each (for most airlines) or 40lbs on some airlines. As an aside, you are allowed to bring your razor on the aircraft in your carry on luggage. You are also allowed to carry on as many 3oz or less liquids you can fit in ONE 1qt ziplock baggie. I travel about 12 times a month for work and pleasure and NEVER check my bags because of the hassle.

you can bring two luggage that you can checked in. make sure that you place all your toiletries on that luggage cause tsa is very strict right now. they are allowing for passenger to carry with them smaller amount of stuff that called necessities. make sure it is in a clear plastic bag and each bottle is no less than 3 oz like deodorant, tiny shampoo, cologne. you need to remove your jacket, shoes, belt, into a small bin to be scan or x-rayed. after you pass the security point, there are store that you can buy drinks that you can carry with you since they are authorize to sell it in the public.

but regarding international flight, you are allowed to check in 2 luggage that is 70 lbs per luggage, excess should be remove but you need to get out of line. so my advice, if you are going international, ensure that the weight is not exceeding the required weigh to avoid delay on your part. but if it exceed on certain amount, the airline consider it as another luggage and they will charge the same amount of each luggage even its not the same weigh as others. remove all the pointed or sharp objects even tsa approved smaller that will not exceed 3 inches long in diameter. lighter and spray is not allowed for carry on.

otherwise, to have a clear details, you can read the rule and regulation, instructions and requirement on the ticket if you have it on hand. but if you don't, check it on line.

im glad that you are one concern passenger that just wanted to be sure everything will not exceed and all requirements are adhere to...
