Moral, religious, spiritual and also a LEGAL issue.
Somehow, our culture, through our politicians and legal system, has decided that it is ok to murder an infant before it emerges from the mother.
All this because babies are inconvenient.
Our whole North American culture is in danger of being overwhelmed by the superior numbers of other cultures. Maybe they will award our culture the Darwin Award when we are all gone.

NONE OF THE ABOVE
it is a MEDICAL ISSUE and as such is therefore a private issue.
I do NOT agree with using abortion instead of preventative birth control but no birth control is 100%.
If you make all effort to prevent pregnancy but get pregnant anyway then you have choices to make.
1-adoption...not every adopted child becomes "Annie". being adopted does not exempt you from being abused, neglected or killed.
2-keeping the child....if you were ready or wanted a child you would not be taking birth control nor would any other choice be an option FOR YOU the individual.
3-abortion...not a good option but still an option. I don't believe in late term abortions except for extreme medical distress but 1st trimester abortions are legal and should remain legal. If your birth control fails a "back-up" is required-that back-up is abortion.
While the pictures on the link listed are horrific so are the emotional and physical injuries of unwanted children.
The bottom line is the right to choose what is right for the individual themselves.
for the pro-lifers...be secure in the right to choose NOT to have an abortion-but don't take my rights because of an emotional response to horrific imagery.
for the pro-choicers...just because it's one option doesn't mean it is the only option.
AND FOR BOTH--decisions about the termination or continuation of a pregnancy can be traumatic and the options should be reviewed and well thought out instead of impulsively or emotionally chosen.

religious spiritual and moral are all shades of the same thing
I think Mother Thersa told the Clintons at the national prayer breakfast once year that abortion diminishes humanity, disrespects the rights of the most vulnerable and in the end sets men against women
the boolk "Politically Correct Death" by Becquith is a very good analysis of the subject

It is a very moral issue. My question to those who are pro-abortion or pro-choice, is this: Why is it an abomination for a woman to kill her 6-month-old baby, yet it is okay to kill a developing baby within the mother? It is well-known that a developing baby is not just a "blob of tissue", as was believed when abortion was legalized. it is a tiny baby within the first few weeks of life. A mother can go to jail for years for killing her baby that has been born, yet one that is not yet born is okay, and they walk away scot free (or with mental and possibly physical anguish as a result), because they aren't fully human? Again, it is known that a developing baby is human. Also, if a pregnant woman is killed, that's considered 2 murders, not one. That is why it is murder, and I believe the government needs to rethink this issue.
One more point: doctors take the hippocratic oath, which says that they have to protect life. Killing a living being is not adhering to that oath.

Well a lot of babies turn out to be a burden because the parents could not raise them to compete with the world and our hearse society. Yes it sad that abortion exist but on the other hand so is poverty, starving babies is that the more moral to dispose of them, or do religious people think that they must suffer for the crimes their grandparents did, by not following Jesus, or the spiritual they give money to feed them then say I did all I could, I'm sorry the starve. But a women's body is hers and what choices she makes is her own. How many people do you think you hurt with these graphic pictures, would be grandparents, brothers, sisters, fathers and so on

The argument that federal funds can't be used to pay for abortion centers and defunding planned parenthood will do away with all the different centers provided to low income mothers is BS. at the start, the funds could be redirected to different companies that don't furnish abortions. 2d, If 0.5 my costs are for abortion centers and 0.5 are for different centers and you provide me funds yet say i'm unable to apply it for abortions. I in basic terms replace the funds I already had for the different centers with the funds you gave me and then use my funds for abortions. that's in basic terms a shell game. in case you do not prefer funds going in the direction of abortions, do not provide companies that furnish them any funds.

Abortion would rate a 10 in all areas. People are affected by seeing it, the person involved is affected and a faith's moral laws are questioned

Abortion is a personal matter. If it is a religious/spiritual matter, then you have no right to use the coercive power of the state to take it away from those of us who see it from another perspective. No one is holding a gun to any-ones head forcing them to have an abortion, so why do you think it is OK to force a woman to bare an unwanted child because it goes against your superstitious delusional religious beliefs?

It is a MORAL issue, which puts it into religion because God gave us all of the moral precepts. "Thou shalt not kill" is one of His commandments. I suggest that everyone look at your picsearch link. Maybe some of these smartypants that think it is a right or a choice to kill a baby will think again.
