I always interpreted that as you can't control the outcome and sometimes serendipity does boomerang it back to you.

Letting go will be learned and is hard to do . When you love someone then is all you can eat sleep dring that person ,when your heartbeat goes faster and the butterflies in you stomach go wild. When you know the person loves you for who you are

I believe that. I first dated my bf back in '02-'03 and it was just bad timing and things moved too fast. He ended up breaking up with me. He was scared too about how fast things progressed and how many feelings developed so quickly. We remained friends and broke up under great terms. I was upset because I really liked him. I backed off... we ended up becaming even closer friends and we got back together almost after a year of being broken up. Now? Things are better than ever and he now knows that he never wants me not apart of his life again.

Yes it is true that you should set you're loved one free to see if he really loves you then he'll come back.. You know that you really love him if you can survive this test, can absorb all hurts and be concerned about him rather than yourself.

I hate that saying, my first ex tried to use that on me and said he loves me so hell let me go and if I come back it means I love him too........ so he decided to break up with me for a few days and wait for me to call him and come back..... I never did.....
to me its another stupid relationship game that humans made up and play, for whatever reason because humans like to play games like this...
