The hotel Ibis is literally just down the road from the airport.
It certainly within walking distance if you have no luggage and only a few minutes by taxi if you do.
The phone number is 01582424488, room rates seem pretty reasonable too.

I would go with Goodbhoy's suggestion and try the Ibis - the chain provide an ok hotel at an ok price. If they booked out see if http://www.smoothhound.co.uk/ can help.
