How do you explain the Wedding at Cana? Did she not intercede as a mother would? Did Christ not do as she asked even though it was not His plan?

It was not His plan as He stated himself "My hour has not yet come."

God concepts are rather silly, so god/human hybrids are ridiculous and mothers of god/human hybrids are absurd concepts

The fact that Jesus listened to his mother at Cana, has nothing to do with whether or not Mary has the ability now to intercede on our behalf to God. Jesus himself said that He alone is the way to God. Romans 8:34 tells us It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us." Why would we need anyone else.

Mary was a blessed woman but just that only a woman

In the upper room
Act 1:14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
Act 1:15 And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about a hundred and twenty,)
(she was in the room here to )
Act 2:2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
Act 2:3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
Act 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
(which means she received the Holy Ghost live everyone else, she needed to be saved too)

How can you say it was not his plan? Of course it was his plan. Mary was not greater than Christ. So she could not alter the plan of God. Mary was a blessed woman, highly favored of God. If Christ had been disobedient to his mother what kind of testimony would that be? Of course, he loved his mother, but he loves all creation. Mary was a good woman. She is not diety. She was flesh and died and went the way of all flesh. SHe has no pull over a resurected saviour.

That is not doctrinally sound. An event is just that, an event. In order to treat something as "doctrine", it needs to be taught by Jesus, performed by the disciples in Acts, and taught in the epistles.Using Mary as an intercessor is doctrinally incorrect especially in light of 1 Timothy 2:5...

"For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus" - 1Timothy 2:5

That scripture alone should be enough for anyone. But there are more to confirm it.

I think your way over applying this story.
Why is it neccesary for us to have Mary intercede if Christ is at the right hand of the Father?
Is Mary (albeit she was chosen to be the mother of our Lord) capible of changing God's mind?

The Bible teaches the Jesus maketh intercession for us, and that he is a great great high priest, and that we are to come boldly before the throne of grace. I cannot find any reference to anyone being prayed to after they are dead. It just ain't there. Mary even had to make a sin offering at the temple, so apparently, she was not sinless as I have heard people state.

On earth Christ was in His humiliation for our sin and submitted even to His earthly parents. He is now exalted. As to interceding as Christians we all pray for one another but we all pray to God through Christ alone. God is clear in His Word that there is only one mediator.

Dear Debra M,

The context is about Jesus Christ, not Mary Carpenter. Christ alone in intercessor. It is unwise to read something into scripture that is not written there.
