If you kno the name of the infected file, boot safe mode (Reboot computer and click F8 before u see the xp logo with the blue blocks running across the screen) Log on, go to the file and delete it. The file u delete may affect a program or yur whole windows Operating sysyem so before u do this, backup yur important stuff on a cd or USBStick/Pen drive so in case windows crashes, u have yur information saved.
