My husband and I were married there 2 years ago. We got married at Rainbow Gardens (not on the Strip) and hired an Elvis impersonator to entertain our guests at the reception. Everyone told us that it was the best wedding they have ever been to. Since I lived in Vegas for 8 years, I also know many people that have been married there. One gal I worked with got married at a Drive Thru chapel and loved it. It really doesn't matter where you get married, it's all about who you are with and the vows you are saying. If you want to get married on the Strip, Little Chapel of the Flowers is very pretty. If you want to research wedding locations in Vegas, try http://www.lasvegasweddinginformer.com
They offer descriptions, summaries, and links for many Las Vegas wedding venues

Friends of our eloped to Las Vegas. They got married in Red Rock Canyon, right outside of Vegas. It's still one of the most beautiful weddings I've ever been to. There were 8 of us in this awesome canyon. You can get married in the Valley of Fire, Lake Mead.
Another course of action you might want to consider is a destination wedding on a cruise or at an all inclusive resort. You get your wedding and honeymoon all in one, plus you can invite whoever you want but you don't have to pay for a reception because it's all inclusive. Friends of ours did this in December and it was fun. We got a 4 day vacation and a great wedding on a beautiful island. I don't remember how much it cost us, but it wasn't bad, since we got a vacation out of it. Not everyone will come if you do this, but I'll bet the people who would complain the most (parents and siblings) will come. Good luck

I live in Vegas so of course i got married in Vegas. The best thing to do is to first log onto the Wedding Channel and register. Not for gifts or anything, but put in your info. You can find all kinds of links and information on this web-site. You can also get onto the casino web-sites and ask for brochures. In this town, you can get everything from a drive thru Elvis wedding to the best catered event in town. Just depends on how much money you want to spend. Good Luck.

you are able to have a las vegas wedding ceremony and characteristic a reception with family contributors. there's a fashion that's starting to be very conventional with couples...having the marriage on a night in the process the week, say Thursday or Friday...and then have a reception on yet another night, say a Friday or a Saturday. That way he could have his small ceremony along with your close fmaily and friends, and he won't may be the focal factor...and you are able to nonetheless have a extensive occasion afterwards to get exhilaration from everybody!! in case you will try this, ensure you be conscious the invites appropriate...there's a definite etiquette approximately writing invites to the occasion because of the fact after the day of the marriage it rather is now no longer called a reception, however the occasion honoring you and your new husband. refer to him approximately it...he might desire to alter his thoughts. that's all approximately compromse.

I got married in the A Las Vegas Garden of Love. Then stayed at the Luxor in a Pyramid Spa Suite. I absolutely loved it! My only recommendation is to contact these places first and make reservations so that you have one less thing to worry about and more time to focus on the honeymoon!

A close friend of mine got married in Vegas last year. They wanted a small wedding in a chapel. No fanfare and nothing big and fancy. It was beautiful and they were so happy. It's the vows that count, not the frills of a huge wedding.

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, unfortunately that seems to also include marriages. In my opinion a Vegas marriage should only be done to relieve Daddy from the high cost of weddings. This is a special day that you WILL remember for the rest of your life. Why spoil it in vegas?

Its not sleezy like the Elvis weddings you see in the movies. They actually have very nice chapels. I recommend the chapel in the Aladdin to my clients. Contact us for prices.

Do it! Allow people to come with and then throw a huge party back home for the people that couldn't make it. Just plan ahead but have fun!
