How do I make more female friends?

Also, I would like to have more female friends. I'm not tryin to get a "stable", if you will, but I like having girls that are friends because of two reasons. First and most important, they're easier to talk to about stuff that you can't talk to your son about. Second, fellas admit this, they could help me stay fly, no lie, you know this. I'm not even gonna front, I used have low self-worth. But now, I just can't figure women out. Any help out there?

just start a convo with them. don't freak em out or anything and be overbearing, just something like "this is good food" or something that you have in common or w/e, but make it clear you're only looking for a friend before they get mad at you later, lol.
