Of course the best way to loose weight is to eat right and exercise, but sometimes we need a little help and that's just not enough. I think that there are some good products out there to supplement a weight loss program.

No diet pill is a magic pill and the people who treat them as such are the ones that have problems. Many diet pills have warnings to not take them if you have a history of high blood pressure or heart problems and of course if you are pregnant or nursing.

I take a supplement called Herbalean. It's made by the original creators of MetaboLife, and not only does it contain Ephedra, it also has Hoodia. Herbalean contains 10mg of Ephedra in an extended release form. It also has 77 trace minerals and 14 herbs. I've taken other supplements like HydroxyCut, Xenadrine, etc and had mixed results. With Herbalean, I get the energy through the whole day, and I definitely don't have any cravings.

I have been taking for a couple of months and have not experienced any adverse side effects and have lost weight at the same time.

The only over the counter weight loss pill that's been approved by the FDA is Alli. Every other pill is unregulated and unproven. Since another pill gets recalled every few years (ephedra, hydroxycut, fen-phen), do you really want to risk your health and your life just to be thin? The only tried-and-true method for lasting weight loss is diet and exercise. Even if you take a pill and it works for you, as soon as you stop taking it you'll probably gain the weight back. However, a permanent lifestyle change such as regular exercise and a low-fat diet will help you lose weight and maintain it. And be careful with those "free trials" of acai berry. I heard on the news that they're a huge scam and they'll charge your credit card for hundreds of dollars. If you get any answers about acai berry, you can bet that it's a scam. I see them all over the Diet & Fitness section. The answers are sent by computers, not real people.

DO NOT TAKE DIET PILLS. They only lead to problems and some of them have terrible side affects. I know a woman that nearly died from taking diet pills and now she is permanently on oxygen and her lungs are destroyed. The best thing to do is to eat healthy foods that are low fat and that have no trans fats, and to exercise every day. Find a hobby, or a support group, but stay away from diet pills.

It might give you heart attacks, so yea, it's bad to take them. Maybe that's why FDA banned Ephedra.

Diet pills are such shite.

I have no idea why those idiots are allowed to market them in the first place. Stay well clear of them.

A real diet should start with metabolic profiling (free), followed by low-glycaemic dieting and PRO-biotics if needed.

Good luck.

Oh, you are guaranteed not to lose weight and keep it off by commercial diets.

ephedra was banned for a reason. It speeds up your heart rate and some people can experience sudden death if they are suseptible.
