Im am far from over weight and im average height but yet i have horrible stretch marks on my the inside of my theighs and on the back of my calfs as well. They are also starting to appear on my hips. I have NO idea why and i've gone to the doctor and she said they are not always caused by beign overweight but by hormones and they are also hereditary. Do you know of anyway of makeing them less visable or even going away? Please help me i know i shouldn't care because they are on the outside, but they really really bother me and make me really self concious. Please help me.

I first got stretch marks when I was 9 on my hips and thighs and spent a decade trying to get rid of them. I tried cocoa butter something like three times a day for years to no avail. Cocoa butter is better for preventing stretch marks then getting rid of them.

Tanning helped me a little, but I would recommend tanning lotions instead of the sun for health purposes. I read about a plastic surgery that supposedly removed stretch marks, but I wasn't impressed by their before and after pictures. They looked pretty much the same.

What I found is that you can never really get rid of stretchmarks, but you can make them less noticeable by ensuring your overall appearance is more or less where you want it. Making sure your weight stays slim is the main thing, otherwise the stretch marks will spread and multiply.

They say cocoa butter works but I am not sure, I would ge the advice of antoher doctor and see if there is an underlying reason, usually stretch marks form from a weight gain and then loss, or from excercising and strectching the skin too much and then it goes back to normal and it shows marks. Not sure I would seek antoher opinion

I am also not overweight and have never been. I have stretch marks on my hips. I exercise a lot so maybe it is from that. I've wondered the same thing.

i have those too, and i have no idea how to get rid of them, so i exercise my legs to try to firm them up and such, so that my legs look good other than that. so far it's working, and the stretch marks aren't as noticeable. i also wear skirted swimsuits and such, i feel much more comfortable that way.

there is no way to get rid of them ok but there is strech marks creams available or even the cocoa butter that helps to reduce them and light them up for them not to show much on your body but for them to dissapear there is no cure for that. don't worry boys have them too and they dont feel bad about it.
