I Cor. 11:1-15 all, but keep 5 & 15 fresh in mind. The hair vs 15 is the covering. The covering is a sign that she is under the power of her husband and Christ. If she uncovers (cuts) her hair she dishoners her head (husband) and it is no better than if her head were shaved. She thereby states or testifies that she is no longer subject to her husband. If a Chrisitian she also dishonors Christ. If she does it knowingly her prayers, like those of Sampson, are no longer heard. The spirit some have does not want to heare this; for once you know it you are responsible. I should add that her prophesy is no longer worth anything because she no longer has power and has rejected her marriage vows in spirit where it really counts. I Cor 11-6 in other words Christian women, if you cut it, as far as God is concerned, you might as well have your head shaved for shame because you are out of spiritual order. And the husband who allows it is usually a thumb sucking mothers boy.

I was only able to find two biblical references regarding women and their shaven heads:

1 Corinthians 11:5
But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.

1 Corinthians 11:6
For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.

Neither of them suggests that a husband can/should divorce their wife for this reason.

God does NOT honor divorce, yet He ALLOWS it for the peace of the saved person when the unsaved person chooses to leave:

1 Corinthians 7
15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.

Peace be with you.

NO!! if the dimwit wants to go back back to the o.t. long hair is a womens glory, to be used as a veil between her & GOD. o,k. if he says he has rule over you it says except for the angels. now the n.t. makes it clear that their is neighter male nor female in the spirit. alot of the bible is based on their traditions, which paul clearly said that doctrine is not to be argued about (traditions).read all of the verses in corth,i think they are some in deutr. too

This is a lie. Jesus said the only reason for a man and a wife to separate was MARITAL INFIDELITY, otherwise known as ADULTERY.

Haircuts don't count! To divorce a woman for cutting her hair, and then marrying somebody "better", is ADULTERY according to Jesus (for the MAN).

Women, do you know that any woman in the Western world - and much of the rest of it - has the right to divorce her husband on grounds of insanity and threatening behaviour?

Have ye not read the New Testament?

I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery." -Matthew 19:9

Do I know? No. I'm not a christian so I don't really care myself. My christian husband prefers me with short hair.

Not in the CHRISTIAN faith they don't.

FOR SURE!

I doubt if it is even in the old Levitical Laws - and these were done away with.
