1st : a few days after getting the HIV infection for the first time... the virus load ( number of viruses in blood ) is the highest,, and the person is most infectious..
2nd : at the end stage of disese, when person has no immunity to fight against HIV viruses, and virus load is getting highest... the person become most infectious again...
in short,, in begining and at ends !! enjoy in between !

1. At the beginning of the infection, the acute phase.
2. At the end, when you get full blown AIDs.

If a person has HIV they are infectious, full stop.

Not aware of the two times. I spent two years with a young man dying from AIDS. Can you put this into some sort of context?
