It's been a long time since I've been in school. These things never crossed my mind when I was in school, however sometimes I think about them when I'm at work or driving around in my every day life. Anyone can carry a grudge and seek revenge at any time.
The way I see it, the only way to help yourself and possibly someone else, is to live your life with positive goals and aspirations. It's ok to get scared...just don't let it overwhelm you. A lot of broken people in the world right now, you never know how you may touch someone's life by your words or actions.

A previous Answer assumed the police were notified. You may want to contact the police and verify that they had indeed been notified. Your Question makes me think the school is not taking the hit list seriously. Make sure your parents know about this hit list. Sometimes you must light a fire under people and organizations to make things happen. Do the newspapers know? Consider calling newspapers to verify that they know. It will be bad if other students decide the hit list person is "cool" and that the school does not stamp out such things, and such people, very hard. ---Jim

Yes it happened two years ago in my school. The boy was very intelligent and friendly. He made a list of people in his classes and a few teachers. Some body asked what he was doing, he answered a hit list. He was reported to the principal. The boy was suspended and sent to OCS school. All the people on the hit list were interviewed. They sent home a letter to all the parents. I think it was a joke.

They won't make a big deal out of it unless there is a cache of weapons and a real indication that something is going to happen. I'm sure the police were notified and they boy's home searched. He'll be in plenty of trouble with his parents you can bet on that. And he'll probably deal with a lot more scary things than anyone else will.

I'm very grateful my kids aren't in the public school system any more! It is getting scary these days. We had a lockdown for the Waseca district today, and in another a student was arrested for putting eye drops in his teacher's coffee! Makes me wonder whether I really want to switch careers and be a teacher.

I've had some bomb threats at the school I was in back in HS but just a bunch of bluffing. I think the media should STOP casting these school shootings/threats etc. because of the "copy cat" effect it has. The newspaper is informative enough.

Nope... but I was once told about someone coming in and wanting to shoot everyone. Half of the school didn't come in that day.
I did though. I waiting to be shot at. I would have then mauled the guy and bit off his ear and made him eat it. Then I would have chopped off his weiner and made him eat it too. Then I would have cut off every finger on his body until he died.
I know, I was probably the person who scared all of those people from shooting up the school.
