Recently I've been having trouble breathing. I'm not wheezing, but it just seems difficult to breath. I don't have any other symptoms, and I don't really have the money to go to the doctor to get it checked out. It lasts for several minutes to a couple of hours during the day. From this, could anyone tell me what it could be? I don't have asthma, and it isn't after I exercise. Thanks.

i had your problem like two years ago. theres actually a technique to breathing and you mightve forgotten it or whatever. you need to relearn how to breath properly. this happened to me cos i smoke and typically when u inhale u use the top half of your lungs. obviously u need to use both top and bottom for a deep breath. there are places you can go that specialize in breathing therapy or whatever. its not a big deal. itll probably take two or three sessions. not cheap tho. in the mean time try breathing with your abdomen, through your nose, useing the bottom part of your lungs.

Find a free clinic or a teaching hospital. Visit an ER and ask about prices. You might be pleasantly surprised. But SEE A DOCTOR!!

Without more info about you - difficult to speculate. Do you have any medical conditions? Are you an anxious person? this may be an anxiety attack? there is good medication for this now. What is your age?

This isn't much help, but either research what you can online, or get to a doctor.. That doesn't seem normal.

If you smoke, or ever smoked, it could be symptoms of emphysema. It could also be anxiety.
