yes - but it is very unllikely

just don't have sex with the dirty boys :)

Cervical cancer is related to human papillomavirus (HPV) - a wart virus. The vaginal form is sexually transmitted so contrary to other people's information sex does in fact have a LOT to do with cervical cancer. If you have never had sex before you should not get HPV and therefore should not get cervical cancer.

Abstain or get regular pap smears to prevent/detect HPV infection.

Very unlikely. If you are truly a virgin (no oral, anal, or vaginal sex) you cannot have gotten the STD called HPV or Human Papilloma Virus. Only high risk types of this virus, usally 16 or 18, can cause cervical "cancer." This type of cancer is usally seen in those that are in their twenties and have a high risk lifesytle, including multiple sex partners (over 2 people), sex at a younger age (less than 20 years old), etc. If this is not you, then don't worry. But the best prevention of this is getting a regular (once a year) Pap smear. Start when you become sexually active or, no later than 21 years of age. It may be uncomfortable but don't risk your life. Also, always use protection. Studies have been shown that using a condom or a diaphragm lessens the risk of HPV being transmitted.

Yes, but you are at higher risk of cervical cancer if you have sex at too young an age and if you have had multiple partners. I know a girl who had it when she was 15 and it was due to the above two reasons.

Yes, you can.

While the majority of cases of cervical cancer are caused by the HPV virus, and are therefore a sexually transmitted disease, there are rare cases of cervical cancer that are NOT caused by catching an STD. Get tested by your doctor if you're worried about it. Ask her about clear cell carcinoma.
