Revelation 20:12
And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. Maybe they are recorded for our remembrance not his. After all he also said that he would remember our sins no more. Isaiah 43:25
"I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more."

Once you understand that "time" was created also in the beginning. It's a bit easier to understand how it works. The first words in the Bible is "In the beginning" If God always was how can there be a beginning? Easy, Time was created for man. If Time is not a constraint for God it's easy to see how he knows everything but still lets us dwell in time.

The Bible says that at the judgement...the books will be opened... we will be judged according to what is written in the books. How God keeps books....we don't know.... But it is clear that if our name remains in the book, we will be in heaven one day. But if our name is 'blotted out' of the book, we are in trouble. It will be decided on the day of judgement. The point is, be ready for that day by making sure your heart is right with God.

For the same reason that our parents wrote our names (first AND last) on our belongings:

So WE would learn and remember who we are and who we belong to!

*smile*

Isn't it nice to have your name written?
