I know this teenages (18) who lives in korea and i have been talking to him for a while..He mentioned to me that he has a illness ( or an illness that effects him mentally). He said that the illness causes him to pay attantion to things we usually wouldn’t pay any attantion too...for example when we breathe...we breathe without thinking about it...but he cant do that...he said that he needs to recognize when to take a breathe and when to release it...he said he is having a problem with his every action in a mental way. He also said that the condition effects his whole nervous system.
He has seen many doctors in Korea and none seem to know what the problem is exactly.
If anyone can help this would be greatly appreciatd as i want to help him very much...if you have any ideas or any way to help please give me some information or tell me what you know or think the problem may be...
Thankyou very much

What i meant about breathing was...that when he breahtes he unintentionally focuses on it....so normally we wouldnt notice that we are breatheing..or even think about it...but he seems to need to pay attention to everything thats happening to his body...and he also mentioned that he is loosing control of his normal body funtions...eg..move arm..move leg and so on

you ever think that he is lying like many have suggested? i mean...if he is talking to you about it *you said he is typing to you, thinking about what he is saying, AND worrying about how to breathe...* doesnt that seem a lil fishy?? i mean, if its true, sorry...but think about it. he either has mastered multi-tasking or is a liar.

I don't know, but it sounds like a neurological problem. He needs to go to a neurological doctor. It may also be some sort of an anxiety thing, or may need more Serotonin to not think about this. There may be a name for his condition, but only he can get the help. If this is not a scam, then he needs to get help there in Korea. I am sure they have some free help of some kind, or does his parents have insurance? This smells so much of a little game, really, I just cannot buy into this kind of a thing. Who can control your breathing even if you do not think you can, etc., you just breathe, I think he is putting you on, really.... Do some research and find out more on your own, you might be surprised. You don't have to ask for money, you just put it into this type of a situation and he knows what you will do. The Asian people are very money orientated, and if you have never met him, then it is easier for this type of thing to happen, as you have not seen him eye to eye. If he has seen many doctors in Korea and they do not know his problem, doesn't that give you a little red flag??

It sounds like he's obsessive compulsive. And he's paying way too much attention to himself. Does he go out and do things and meet people? If not, he should. He'll end up with a heart attack, both from the lack of exercise and constant worry about himself and all his bodily functions. He needs a shrink for his head, not a doctor for his physical condition.

One suggestion: He could have OCD, and be obsessively compulsed to focus on the things that he has no control over.
