I am not desperately trying to find any resource to prove homosexuality in the Bible. The reason why I chose this homosexual site is because I learned about it from CNN.COM before, and I once saw more than 10,000 posts on their message board, for which most of the ones I read were supportive of the site. So homosexuality is a controversial topic that most Western Christians seem (from my personal experience only) to support.

The only three remaining Biblical passages that conceivably touch on homosexual behaviour are found in I Corinthians 6:9, I Timothy 1:10, and Romans 1:18-32.

In I Corinthians 6:9 Paul asks his readers, "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God ?" He then proceeds to list certain catergories of people as examples of those who will not inherit the kingdom. In this list two of the Greek words, namely malakoi and arsenokoitai, have usually been rendered in English translation by a single term such as "homosexuals," "sodomites," "sexual perverts," pr "homosexual perverts."

God loves everyone, however he is Holy and Just. No sin can enter into heaven. There are numerous passages in his word that state clearly that homosexuality is a sin. 1 corinthians 6: 9-10, Leviticus 18:22, Genesis 13:13, Leviticus 20:13, Romans 1:24-32. No matter how many people support it. When God does return he will be a just God and will judge everyone according to thier sins or lack of.

You can argue interpretations of biblical passages on homosexuality until the world ends. But it is clear that Scripture condemns homosexuality. It is also clear that when the Bible was written, there was no knowledge of the distinction between a homosexual orientation and homosexual acts. Only modern psychology has brought that out. And there is still no real proof on the causes of homosexuality.
But God's will is also revealed in the creation he made. "In the beginning God made them male and female..." The clear purpose of human sexuality is the loving union of a man and a woman and the procreation of children for the growth of the human race. Anything contrary to this is unnatural in the sense of against nature.
So to know what God has to say about homosexuality it is not sufficient to just look at the quotes that specifically mention it.

I particularly believe as an Atheist and a scholar that it is the "pro-gay" movement is just trying too hard to change the bible so it'll accept them. I don't think MOST Christians would want to hate on homosexuals, but do so because of religion. It would also be in the best interest of the church to change on this stance, but they can't because the words are there. In this case, Christianity is right on their translation.

well shadowofe, I ll tell you what I know. God loves the sinner not the sin. God loves the "fags" and he loves the hookers, pimps, thief's etc. everyone makes up this WORLD. For God loved the world so much that he gave his only son to die for us even when we where sinners. Not when we where perfect but sinners. You know what I mean Jelly Bean? I Part of my Testimony is I used to Be Bi sexual. I would be at the gay bars all the time. But when I asked to God to be lord in my life, and change me to be a man of God. He did. He destroyed all past desires. for he has made me into a new creation. He is wonderful.

Good question.

The book is called Will I Go To Heaven. I don't know the author. He is a black pastor and he is gay. The book is supposed to outline the particulars in the Bible and history where homosexuals are justified and how that plays into today's society.

It is absolutely true that God does love the homosexual... You see He loves all sinners. But the sin of homosexuality is something God hates. Romans 1 is very clear on that. Just because we recognize that God loves the homosexual, does not mean that we as Christians also support or encourage the sin of homosexuality any more than God loves their sin. We accept them as people who are in need of a Savior just as a liar or adulterer or murderer or glutton is in need of forgivness and a Savior. We are all sinners in need of the grace and forgiveness of God. But if we refuse to accept His forgiveness, and refule to change our ways, we are not truly repentant.... and than makes us unregenerate sinners going to hell. If we come to Him, and sincerely repent, whatever our problem, He is willing to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. That's God's Grace... we didn't earn it... but He gives it because He loves us. But we must accept it.

I don't understand homosexuals. Why limit yourself to one? I like both and that's the way God made me.
