Okay, here's my question. Why do people say that the person who turns you down is a ?

Everyone always assumes that if you are turned down when you ask someone out, then he/she (the one being asked that says no) is a superficial turd.

Others, such as friends and family, say "Oh, you're too good for her anyway" or "Don't worry, that guy is such a pig." If this is true, then why the hell are YOU the one who was rejected?

Doesn't anyone realize that the person being asked could already be in a relationship? Or maybe isn't interested in commitment at this point in their lives? Sheesh, not everyone in the whole entire world is a big shithead, you know.

Haven't you ever been turned down by someone you really liked? Do you remember what friends or family said to you about it? It's just life. Rejection is rejection. It happens, but some people's feelings can be hurt and they need some uplifting comments or advice. The friends and family know that the rejector isn't always a devil, jerk or real picky person. The rejector has his/her reasons. But to friends and family, making their loved one feel better is what Really matters. So, like the rejected one may have been told in a nicer way.....GET OVER IT.

The others only say that to the rejected person so that they'll feel better.I mean you have to admit it,when you're turned down you do tend to feel low and some people tend to feel like its the end of the world therefore they need some **** like that to be said to them. But hey you shouldn't have to feel bad about what they say, after all its your decision and if you've got your reasons then so be it.cheers!

i think both sides aren't in the wrong. When someone turns you down, it isn't his/her fault. Neither is it your fault.

Just dump his/her number down the rubbish chute and move on, like me.

Give yourself a pat on the back, at least you tried. Rather than drag it on for too long before you found out that he/she isn't even interested in you in the first place.

You are correct! There are lots of reasons someone would say no. Lack of chemistry.... any of the reasons you mentioned.
