I think I have High Blood Pressure. I dont know for sure.

I get these severe, cronic headaches. (Its bad). Sometimes these headaches are so bad its hard for my eyes to focus (like things are blurry) and eventually I get dizzy.

Im always taking Tylenol. I had to take 2 at 9am today and had to take 3 more at 10:30 am. So I decided to use that Blood Pressure machine they have at Wal-Mart and it said 142 (systolic) and 72 (Diastolic). What does this mean?

I made a Dr. Appt for Friday, is it okay to wait till then?

You are prehypertensive.

It's good that you are going to your doctors office.

Eat a diet low in sodium. Don't have too much caffiene. You should be fine until your doctors appointment.

Keep monitoring your blood pressure daily. If the headache pain is unbearable, go to your local ER.

Best Wishes.

Blood pressure measurements don't count for anything if you've been walking around. Ideally, you should be sitting down for at least 5 minutes or so. Blood pressure also can vary during the day, so it's best to get measurements from similar times during the day. No caffeine in the morning either. These measurements should be repeated on a few separate occasions. Some people get "white coat hypertension" when they go to the doctor's office because they are nervous. Probably blood pressure medicines wouldn't kill you. But you don't necessarily need blood pressure medicines if your blood pressure is only high while active. When doctors study the effects of high blood pressure, they study the effects of people who are diagnosed with it as described above. You are probably at no higher cardiac risk from your blood pressure.

You know, I have been answering these questions for some time now and I know most people would rather do prescription drugs than herbal remedies, but what really gets me is that prescription drugs in the long run don't do anything and often cause other problems. What you should do is take some herbal cayenne powder(that is chili powder from a health food store) and put about a quarter, a half or whatever you can take in a coffee cup of warm water. Put a little cayenne on your tongue which notifies your brain which then notifies your stomach to start secreting the acids to break up what is coming. Then over about twenty minutes drink the warm water/cayenne combination. If you drink two to three cups a day you will do a bunch of amazing things. You will thin your blood to the consistancy of ink, which means more oxygen to the brain so no more headaches. In three days you will lower your cholesterol 50 points. It will give you more energy than coffee and last longer. It prevents colon, prostate and uterine cancer, softens stool and cleans your bowels where 80% of all disease forms. Rebuilds your heart muscle and the lining of your stomach so you can then eat anything. In short it helps to prevent 11 major diseases and many minor ones. For more information go to herbdoc.com and find out all about how to cure yourself of any disease and a lot cheaper than the doctor's so-called drugs than do more harm than good.

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

Migraine Headaches
Prevention

You may be able to reduce frequent migraines by avoiding triggers, such as certain foods, stress, and changes in your daily routine, although it is not clear how or why these events lead to migraines. Some common triggers of migraines include:

Consuming certain substances such as chocolate, monosodium glutamate (MSG), red wine, and caffeine.
Getting too much or not enough sleep.
Fasting or skipping meals.
Changes in the weather or barometric pressure.
Stress or intense emotions.
Strong odors or cigarette smoke.
Bright lights or reflected sunlight.

Your blood pressure reading falls in the normal range. What you may be experiencing is migraines...these severe headaches can cause dizziness, blurred vision, sensitivity to light and/or sound, nausea, vomiting and is some people, slurred speech. The doctor may want to do a CT or MRI scan, but migraines are manageable with medication

A doctor's appointment is a start. Lay off the caffine, get some exercise, decrease your salt intake, and loose some weight if needed. Also, watch your Tylenol intake. It's hard on your liver.

Have your Doc check for Glaucoma. Some of your symptoms could be ascribed to that.
