There is no answer. For some people 1 kid is too many. But, some can raise 6 ot 7. I have 2 and a step son and am planning on having another one ina year or two.

It's such an individualized thing. For some people one child would be too much, others could do really well with 5 or more.
There are so many factors that go into it. Health, financial stability, time, energy levels, mental health, social support, marriage strength, and dedication are just a few that come immediately to mind.

For me personally I want no more than 3. Even then I think I might just want 2.. we'll see. My bf wants 3-4, I want 2-3... So I guess 3 is the magic number. And I want them spaced out, I refuse to be pregnant and still carting around a baby in a car seat. But it really all is a highly personal choice. I love children but 3 is DEFINATELY my limit.

Too many kids is more than the parents can support, do effective parenting and love. The number varies from couple to couple. We raised four children in the 70's and 80's, but in this day and age I think we could have only afforded one or two.

I think It depends on the family. Some parents can easily have 6,7,8 kids and have no problems. Others have no business even having one.

it just matters how you are doing mentally and financially. those are the two most important factors.
then you go to, what does your partner want?
you can have as many as you feel you can give enough attention and love to.
