There really are pains related to growing! My daughter experienced cramps, particularly in her legs, when she was 14-15 (despite taking two dance classes a week and being otherwise active).
Our pharmacist recommended a combination pill of calcium and magnesium, the same thing I took (under doctor's suggestion) when I was pregnant and experiencing muscle cramps (also in my legs).
You don't need a prescription and they really work! Talk to your local pharmacist and, if you have any doubts, ask your doctor.
Good luck! The pains eventually will pass!

There is no such thing as a growing pain, it may be a muscle cramp from exercising. I would take something like a pain releiver. Go ask your parents, they'll give you some meds.

I think having a "growing pain" is just a figure of speech.

it means that certain parts of your body are beginning to get denser and longer... I found exercise (stretches) if it's during the day or a massage if it's at night that way your muscles relax as they are going through the change.
hot or cold compresses also work nicely!
