What military police state?

In a police state there are curfews, no civil rights, no group gatherings, no free speech, free press. Today I drove my SUV unrestricted to a gun shop where a group of us met to just BS and talk about the forth coming hunting season and we were armed. Gas prices are down again, my news paper arrived and I watched both Fox and CBS news uncensored. Plus when I saw the Sheriff patrol go by he waved and smiled and not one soldier in sight.

I just looked out my window and Old Glory is still flying free and no one has come to try to take my guns away. (unlike what the Democrats want to do).

I'm just wondering. Where do you live in the USA where there is a Police State?

oh yea, I live in NY a blue state!

What is your F***ING problem? If you honestly think for one second that the American government is so controlling that you couldn't make a move without them knowing, you are absolutely delusional. There is no technology developed that sophisticated that the government could use to spy on its people. It's a fact that the government has a hard enough time keeping up with the number of American citizens let alone what they do every minute of everyday. And if this were a police state you would have already been arrested or killed for even asking this. Why don't you join us here in the real world and quit living in your conspiracy filled fantasy land. Get some actual facts to back up you claims before you shoot your mouth off.

I know that no matter what anyone in here says you have a stupid half baked response, even for the best answer. So do us all a favor and just shut up and leave the thinking to those of us with a brain.

Don't worry so much, the more you pay attention to stories blown up by the media or others the more you beleive them. Yes there is a level of corruption in this country, and yes its a shame. But try living in another country, in every situation it will be a trade off. Living in the United States may not allow you to live with true liberty, but in return you live in the richest nation in the worlds history. Not only are we the richest, but we are home to many of the world's most productive citizens. Be proud to live in the greatest nation on earth, and go become a millionaire. If thats not in your interest then you might be happier elsewhere. I live in the United States of America, I love my country and I have no fear of my government.

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? Where are you getting your information?

The country is not dead it's people like you, with attitudes of desperation and dissent that make this country a constant battle ground. We have rights, those were not taken from us. We are safer, I don't see you hiding in a bunker from bombshells. There is no military police state! Go to China and North Korea, those are police states, try some countries in Africa. I can't see how you justify the meaning of the word,"dead," the economy is doing well. Companies are posting record profit and there is more money being spent on security and defense that before. this isn't something that you assume is not working. It is like buying a house of straw and a house of bricks... you get what you pay for.

Check, re- check and check your information again. You must be getting your notion(s), not facts, from some unreliable source. And don't say the news on TV either. they want you to give them ratings to make money on you

WAKE UP!

You are not completely correct. The U.S. is not a police state, but it is indeed very corrupt. Your theory derives from many conspiracy theories combined due to the questionable 9/11 incident. Though the govt has tapped into our calls, and put tabs on many personal aspects of our life, our free will is not barred despite your opinion. Yes, Bush and Cheney are a bunch of BS. One person technically voted for Bush in the 2000 election meaning he shouldn't have been president in the first place, but I do not agree about your ideas of a facist/socialist state of govt. we have. News and media outwardly discuss Bush's heinous presidency and yet none of them have been arrested. Our Bill of Rights guarantee us our freedom of speech and press.

No,I don't, The technology to spy on people has been around for years, understand that these are the tools the enemy is using against us,a society screaming its head off and being fueled by the mass media that we are losing are rights, bashing the current people in office, if they were democrat would this be an issue?Would we be congratulating the heroes who would be(democrats) imposing the same principals and would the media be singing high praises cause it was their party that was in office?probably! I've already lost my rights(looking at it from your point of view because I smoke cigarettes, next up is fat/obese people)(look at the diabetes commercials) now in your infinite wisdom do you think the same cant be said and applied to our current regime in office..........................wake up my friend, wake up!!!

We will be ok, the American people are waking to the facts that you present, we will see what happens when the elections are over. But I think it is like baseball we have just been in a 6 year slump and we are going to hit a home run in November.

Our country has survived worse than Bush and Cheney. That is very hard to believe but it is true. Read up on the Red Raids and the early populist labor movement.
