Suppose you were the intelligent creator of all living things, including humans. What would you do differently to the way we are now? My choices would be things like:

The acute vision of an eagle.
The sense of smell of a dog.
Echo-location like bats and dolphins (for finding
our way around in the dark).
Immunity to disease.
No congenital or acquired medical conditions.
Gills, so we couldn't drown.
Ability to make our own vitamin C
Ability to hibernate.
Much less pain, damage and trauma in women giving birth.
Homing ability like pigeons.

... and so on. If we're really intelligently designed then the designer must have been a novice.

Do you know why you inherited faulty genes? Because of sin. When God created us in the beginning, our bodies were designed to live forever. They would not have grown old, gotten sick, had defects. But when sin came into the world, it twisted the whole creation into something it wasn't intended to be. Disease, aging, physical defects - these are all consequences of sin. Don't blame God. He gave them a chance and they chose sin over perfection. He gives us chances too and we choose sin as well. By the way, do you think you could do a better job designing a human body than God did? lol EDIT "We are FAR from designed by any kind of intelligent being.. We have wisdom teeth for no reason, " How about, to chew our food with? "our skull is too small for our brain, so the neocortex region of our brain is mushed and folded... " Um. The neocortex is the part of the brain responsible for things like intelligence. Babies with fetal alcohol syndrome have a smooth neocortex, and as a result they have many mental problems. The brain is folded and grooved - convoluted, it's called - so that there is more space to be covered with neocortex. So we'll be smarter. "The little pink thing in the corner of our eyes have zero function," That's called a tear duct. It's where the excess water goes, and it filters down into your sinuses. That's why your nose runs when your eyes water. The pink thing in the outer corner is simply the lining of your eye socket.

So in other words you'd create Gods not humans. a novice? how infantile, you just spouted off several of his best designs that you'd want for yourself, then you question his greatness. Think about it if you had all those abilities would you then believe in him or would you still think you were a better designer please you or no other human can begin to comprehend the vastness of his power and intellect or love so do your self a favor and look for God before you belittle him

Evolution is a slow and remarkably inefficient process, but it always makes us move more and more towards perfection. Humans, as we are now, are remarkable trophies of natural selection, but we are still very inefficient compared to what we would expect to find if we were designed from a higher intelligence.

That said, I would make everyone a god.

I would make humans like this:

1. Smarter (So they know not to do silly things that gets them diseases, lung cancer, etc.)
2. More considerate of our good ol' mother Earth.
3. Peaceful.
4. Gills.
5. Nicer.

That's all I would change.

i would do every thing exactaly as we are. except i would build in a fishbowl failsafe...

when you get too many fish in a bown some will simply die off.
and the fish will only grow to the size that the bowl will allow for optimum living conditions.

oh and i would not tell them about me

i agree that i would love to create humans like that, however, god created the laws of biology that prevent that from happening.i don't believe in evolution.having said that,in order for god to create man like that he would need a different mechanism in order to create man like that.I say that because, evolution would never allow man to evolve a eagles vision.of course, god can just create anything out of anything, but in order for life to procreate it needs a mechanism to replicate it.i don't believe in evolution per say,but i do believe it plays a role in our planet.
God Bless
