What school you want to go to is important. If you want to go to the small local community college, go there. Ignore the advice that you must go to an Ivy League school to get a good education. If you want to go to an Ivy League school, go there. Ignore the advice that the local community college is just as good. Rent the movie "Splendor in the Grass" as an example of what can happen when you don't go the school and take the major you want to. I hope you do well in school, and Life. ---Jim

- Got money? You can go to an out of state school. If not, stay in state.
- Got grades? You can get scholarships, grants.
- Got family you want to be close to? Look around your hometown or within a decent commute.
- What do you like? Is that type of job ever-changing or is it pretty stable in how it's done? Are you prepared or willing to not make money if you choose a career that is not in demand?
-Visit some schools and talk with some assistant professors (who are usually grad students and know what it's like)
-Talk to your guidance counselor at high school
-Ask, ask, ASK!!
