Regular. The elephant garlic doesn't have as much flavour, so it doesn't caramelize when roasted like regular garlic. Cut the top off your garlic when you roast it and drizzle with a bit of olive oil, sprinkle with a bit of salt. I like to squeeze the cloves out when they're done and freeze in a seal-proof container until I'm ready to use.

Regular garlic has all the natural ingredients in it to promote good to great health. Elephant garlic while bigger in size lacks quite a bit of the same nutrients and herbalists now believe it is because it's size the nutrients are somehow flushed out of the growth process. So, whenever you cook, use plenty of real garlic.

Regular. I think it would take to long to do an elephant garlic. I've never seen anyone roast one of those now that I think about it.

If your incorporating the roasted garlic into a dish then either is great. If you are using the garlic as a spread or appetizer then the elephant garlic is best....it is sweeter in taste when roasted.

I don't care for elephant garlic as I don't think it has as much of a garlic flavor. Roasting regular garlic gives it a sweeter more mellow flavor.

Elephant garlic is more related to the leek than to regular garlic. It has a milder and sweeter flavor than regualr garlic.

i would use regular as elephant garlic to my palate seems to be a little milder but of course if you dont want a strong garlic taste then go the other way...the cloves are larger easier to work with.....roasted it would be a little hard to even tell....

I´d say both the Elephant with a few kilos of garlic

you would need a large barbeque
and stuff the elephant with a cow ,the cow with a sheep and lots of pumpkins, pine apples and grapes, add a eucaliptus tree for flavor.
they say that it is out of this world
