Hi. I'm the wife of a SSG in the USAR. He is currently stationed in Iraq and he informed me that there is a laundry station on the military base. There are Iraqi civilians that work in the laundry station. The civilians also work in the PX and other stores, etc. All of the civilian employees are securtiy screened, etc. before they are allowed to work on the base.

Hope this answers your question!

We had locals doing our laundry over there, many of the sorrounding public are allowed to come on base and work, including doing laundry. Though I cannot speak for all bases, I've only been to a few

Halaburton charges us , the US tax payer, a gillion buck per pair of under shorts. Then pays the locals pennies an hour to do the work. Same with the food our GI eat, products they buy at the PX, and on and on. Why the hell did you think we have troops over there anyways.
(and I bet you thought Bush was president)

Illegal aliens we ship over to Iraq. This is not publicized. We pay them below minimum wage, send 1/2 that to their relatives in Mexico.
