"Pretty Boy" Floyd is scheduled to fight Carlos Baldomir on 11/4.
Miguel Cotto is stepping up to the Welterweight division to fight Carlos Quintana for the vacant WBA Welterweight Championship on 12/2. Who wins each fight? Provided PBF and Cotto win their bouts, and their management teams and the promoters would quit thinking about future income and risk putting a Mayweather/Cotto fight together to unify the WBA and WBC belts does Cotto have a chance of beating PBF and if so how would Miguel beat him?(What does Cotto bring to the table?)How does Ricky Hatton fit into this equation?
Santana, Kal Ben, Brad, Smitty, and of course Toughguy I want to hear your opinions on this question. And all other answerers of course.

PBF Versus Baldomir.

To Be honest I am rooting for Baldomir to win this fight ( I hate Mayweather guts) but I would not bet my money on it. Knowing Floyd has better technique and better skills coompared to the slow mocving Baldomir. I would like to say Baldomir has a punchers chance but Baldomir is not a Puncher, the only way I think Baldomir will win this is When Floyd doing a Zab Judah and comes into fight Unprepared. Baldomir is a type of fighter that makes great fighters temted to take Easy but cant be taken for Granted. Ill take Floyd 12 UD (with a heavy heart)

Cotto Versus Quintana

I never saw Quintana fight,
Cotto has decent boxing skills and above average hand speed, a Questionable Chin but great Fighting Heart.
I saw Cotto fight against Torres where Cotto got tagged and was down and went up Dizzy the only reason Cotto Survived that fight because of Torres lack of killer instinct and Stamina. For Quintana to win this fight he must be well conditioned to go toe toe with Cotto and have a killer instinct to Finish Cotto when his hurt. But again since I haven't Seen Quintana Fight I'll pick Cotto TKO11.

Cotto Versus Mayweather.

Both at Their prime, both are strong but mayweather is a complete fighter with Rock Solid Chin.
Cotto is safe To say have a punchers chance, but Mayweather's Accurate punching and speed willbe too Much for Cotto to handle.
Mayweather UD 12 Lopsided.

as for Hatton he went back to 140 and I think thats a wise Decision on his Part Carrer wise, not Money wise since the money is at 147. Anyway he can always defend his WBA Alphabelt and Earning millions fighting in Manchester while fighting Sack of Rice.

I think they will both win these belts, although the more i think about the PBF vs Baldomir fight the more i am thinking that it isn't going to be as easy for Floyd as most people are thinking, i would say his speed will be the main factor and he will get the victory on points, Cotto's should be a little more clear cut if he takes his power up to Welter with him and i would say a KO for Cotto in the middle rounds. As for them fighting each other there is absolutely no chance PBF would take this fight, Cotto is far too dangerous an opponent for him, PBF will just carry on handpicking some mediocre opponents and running his mouth off about how great he thinks he is.
As for Ricky i don't think he enters the equation, i don't think we will ever see him up at Welter again and these two wont drop back down so they look like matchups we will never see unfortunately.

I'm making an educated guess that both PBF and Cotto come out of their next fights with a belt. If they do come to an agreement to unify the belts (probable since it would be a good money maker for both), I don't see Cotto beating PBF. Why? Just take a look at the two against a common opponent, DeMarcus Corley. PBF dominated this guy over 12 rds and at times seemed as if he kept the fight going like he was in sparring. Cotto on the other hand, even though he won by 5th rd TKO, had what I believe was the toughest fight of his career. The stoppage was dubbed "a hometown" stoppage since the fight took place in Puerto Rico. Corley had Cotto hurt on several occasions, he took a knee to catch his breath and "baaam" the ref stepped in and stopped it, he did go down twice before so the ref said it was in line with the three knockdown rule. Yeah OK based on his interpretation. Cotto will lose to PBF in a UD unless PBF decides to make a statement, Cotto would be a good opponent to KO, and Corley showed the chin has some flaws to chip away at. As for Ricky Hatton he has already signed to fight a new insertion to the 140lb division, Jose Luis Castillo, should be a great fight this Spring. .

I think PBF wins and so does Cotto.....Funny how both of these fighters never choose to fight the best competitors (Hatton, Margarito)
