Try to answer each question truthfully and DON'T move on to the next question until you have finished the one you are on.

1) If two women both are 5ft2 and one is 115lb and one is 130lb, which one is healthier in your opinion and why?

2)Now let's say the woman who is 115lb has a small frame and 28% body fat, but the 130lb woman is quite muscular and has 24% body fat, now who is healthier and why?

3)Now let's throw another spanner in the works and say the woman with 28% body fat stores all her fat around her hips and bust and has a 26 inch waist, but the woman with 24% body fat stores all the fat around her middle and has a 30 inch waist, now who is healthier and why?

And NO backtracking!

Have your answers changed or were they consistent all the way through?

You might be wondering why I bothered with this, well it's because of the constant questions about weight, and I wanted to prove that it is not as simple as being a certain weight, there are so many factors that determine whether you are healthy or not.

Ok also just for anyone who thinks this is a personal hang up, none of the above details refer to me, this is more an issue with the fact that people are asking questions about weight that no-one can answer accurately. Thank you.

hon, 5'2 and 115-30 sounds fine as hell and downright healthy as a horse, no matter the percentage of body fat. i think most guys have lower body fat than women, but the sucky thing is we guys have tiny buts, no breasts and small hips, man i miss loving women.(hahaha just a joke, ive been single a long time.)
anyway, in the navy, i went for my yearly(biannual or something) and i was told i had like over 20 percent body fat. i told the gal there was no way in hell i could be that way, and she argued with me and started telling me how the formula works for determining body fat. i cut her off, and ripped off my work shirt as well as t shirt and posed very relaxed without flexing, she coughed and said well it usually works. then they got these giant torture devices out and started measuring. they still came to like 14 percent, and i was holding no water, with a 6pack(7 if you count my lump). im 5'10 and hover between 155-165 depending on how hard im working, and have nice tight muscle tone and etc, funny huh?

anyway this man loves small petite women, but a women with just a tiny pudge of healthy is thick as hell.(thick everything in the right quanity in the right place ie; 10lb of butt in a 2lb sack)

Scenario 1 - both have a BMI which is in the normal range so both are as healthy as each other.
Scenario 2 - BMI of both is still within the normal range.
Scenario 3 - Storing more fat tissue around the waist is more damaging to health than around hips/bust.

The woman with the 30" waist and 24% fat is going to have a very strange figure!

1) If two women both are 5ft2 and one is 115lb and one is 130lb, which one is healthier in your opinion and why?

In my opinion both of them are healthy its just depends on how they are maintaining their weight and health that determines how healthy they are.

2)Now let's say the woman who is 115lb has a small frame and 28% body fat, but the 130lb woman is quite muscular and has 24% body fat, now who is healthier and why?

the 130lb woman because she has less body fat.

3)Now let's throw another spanner in the works and say the woman with 28% body fat stores all her fat around her hips and bust and has a 26 inch waist, but the woman with 24% body fat stores all the fat around her middle and has a 30 inch waist, now who is healthier and why?

The woman with 26 inch waist because her waist are smaller.

It's impossible to answer the first question because it's too little information. The next questions provide the information necessary to make a judgement. The woman with 24% body fat is the unhealthiest, even though you'd think the one with more body fat would be. Fat stored around the middle rather than the hips is more unhealthy and increases the risk of cardiovascular disease and diabetes.

1. The 115 lb. woman, just because her weight is less.

2. The 130 lb. woman, because she is muscular. Muscle weighs more than fat making her healthier.

3. Still the 130 lb. woman, 24% body fat is just plain better than 28%.

I do have to add that seeing these women without knowing the facts would probably make someone say the 115 lb. woman.

yeah - also define "healthier"

One could have cancer and is smaller because of the Chemo and the other one just cam down from 200 lbs.

Actually - we humans like to think in easy schemes, categoreis. Nice attempt to start that discussion. But most people will really never be able to think out of the box....

The answer to each question ( no backtracking) as if I could give any of them that much attention... Is simply put...

Body Obsession...

Eventually leading to either severe conceit and narcissism or an eating disorder...

This would however be an excellent way to teach an idiot girl math! So Kudos for that!

I couldn't figure it out using lb's, but a very good and interesting question anyway, I'm 5'1, small frame and weigh approx 8st and in proportion - I don't know if this is good or bad and to be honest don't worry about it.

1 - The second, she is probably healthier as she is probably more athletic.
2 - The second as she will probably have more muscle.
3 - The second as despite the poorer fat distribution she still will have a higher percentage muscle.
