Find out if you can get more information about the bike. Is the bike local to your area? EBay is reliable for the most part however there have been a number of scams on there. I would proceed with caution. Ask him why he is selling it. How long he's had it. the price sounds a little low for a 2005. however he could or may just want to pay of what he has left on the loan. Hope this has helped.

Tell your boyfriend to check the sellers feedback and see if there are any negatives, like, "product was not as described" or "seller is a crook, do not trust" etc. If he has less then 10 feedback, I wouldn't trust it, buy it from an experienced ebayer, or just have him keep in constant contact and maybe even call the seller if he/she allows it, Bottom line is, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Be safe!

Get all the facts on the bike and depending on where the seller is, I'd take a person to look at the bike too for a second opinion. American made is better but they're more expensive, probably why this one is cheap. But hey, if it's his money then he should get it. Of course you can tell him your concerns though.

Get it CarFaxed. Go to carfax.com and get a history report on it first. If it checks out, then it should be alright.
