wat could be the problem??

It's probably something extremely simple - a loose wire or (if you're not getting sound at all) a blown fuse.

The shorted-out or disconnected wire could be a little hard to find, depending on where your connections are and how accessible your speaker(s) is/are. A fuse would be really easy to replace; check your manual for the exact location.

Another possibility is that the speaker is blown; in that case, it would probably still buzz, at least - that would most likely require replacement.

If you don't have luck on your own, you might be able to go to a a car dealership or large retail store that installs auto speakers and ask them to take a look. Offer to pay $20 even if it's a loose wire.

There are a couple of different issues that can cause this:

1. The speaker is bad! Either the coil is blown or the cone is bad in the speaker. The second part can be an easy diagnosis...pull the speaker from the car and look at it...if it is cracked...that is the problem. If the coil is blown you will need to see #2.

2. Bad voice coil or wiring, In this case you need to take the speaker out and remove it from the factory plug. At radio shack, walmart, and most auto parts stores they sell what is called a test-light. It is a lightbulb on a handle. very cheap. After removing the speaker, stick both leads of the test light into the plug the speaker came out of while the radio is on and turned up. If the light comes on you have a bad voice coil in the speaker and you need new speakers. Another hillbilly route is to take the speaker out and connect the leads of the speaker to both poles of a 9v battery...if you hear a "pop" then the speaker still works...If in either case the speaker works........you have bad wiring and will have to chase down where the bad wiring is between the speaker and deck, then replace it...

Is there no sound at all, one speaker or all? One speaker could be wiring come loose or deck has a bad channel. All speakes not working, could be a fuse or deck could be bad.
