ok there was this spider that was crawling in my house yesterday and i killed it. but im trying to figure out what it was. it was fast and when my brother was trying to kill it, it jumped from the floor to the wall. it was brown.it was big but kinda small too. so like medium. can anyone tell me what it was?? it looked something like the one in this picture:

Sounds/looks like a jumping spider, not poisonous. No, it is not a brown recluse they have a "fiddle" on their back, they are not as round as this one. I have seen both a brown recluse and a jumping spider and the jumping spider is what this appears to be.

to make a jump like that I'd say a jumping spider or sun spider, the jumping spider is no poisonous and the sun spider is only mildly poisonous. The picture you show does look like a recluse at a glance but does not have the fiddle on the back and they are deadly but a recluse is not capable of making that kind of jump unless its in a web. With a small child I would get a bug poison and spray along the walls and corners as well as around the doors to be safe. A bug bomb may be too much with a small child as the poison would be on everything and the fumes linger for a long time in the air and could be hard on a newborn.
