he's really good guy. he just seems so distant. and i'm not sur why. it's hard trying to show him how i feel...just because i don't think he really cares that much about me. he says that he does...but i just get this feeling that there's something wrong. of course my friends talked to him (i didn't know) and he said that he would do anything for me. but why doesn't he show it? he seems so distant. and it's hard to keep a relationship going if he doesn't talk to me. his friends have to do with a lot of it tho. they act so imiture. and i can tell he trys to show off for them. i don't really like going up to him and trying to talk to him when his friends are around. they all have girlfriends.....and my bf doesn't make fun of them about it. why should they make fun of him about me? i just don't understand. do you think that's why he's being so distant? because of his friends?

Is he distant just around your friends or also when you two are alone? If when you're alone, it's not just his friends. If he's really young, he may not yet be comfortable being around girls romantically and just doesn't know what to do or what you expect, so he does nothing. Does he show you he cares in other ways, like doing things for you? I would try not pushing things. Pick a night, sit back, and don't make an effort to smooth the date along or show him you care. It will be hard, but you can't be the one working all the time on this relationship. If things go nowhere, then you should really date other people, at the very least. You are looking for something that he isn't providing and you should be at least as important as his friends, if not more so. I know it's hard making this decision, especially if you have invested so much in trying to make this work. But it will ultimately be better for you to take care of this now instead of waiting and suffering. You deserve better. Good luck!

Guys can be stupid when it comes to being in front of their friends... I hate it... my man was like that a lil... but what u gotta do is talk to him about it...

The most important thing to remember when ur in a relationship is that COMMUNICATION IS KEY. And women (myself included) tend to let things go for a long time, then they explode on their man with all these things that their man has done wrong... but they have no reason to explode... cuz they never told their man that they had a problem to begin with!! So don't let it all build up. Sit ur hubby down and talk to him about it calmly and allow him to talk if he wants to. If things don't change, then leave the bastard!
Have a great weekend! Hope everything works out!

Well girl i think ur bf is kind of immature too. If he really says that he loves u he should stand up for u and ur relationship. I think if you already talk to him, but he still don't listen kick him to the curves. Because u are giving 100% to do the right thing but he is not appreciating u. Maybe when ur gone he will understand how much u meant for him.

Maybe you need to back off and not push so hard. Some men are not taught as children how to show emotion. He may need more time to figure it out.

Why Is there such a rush anyway? He obviously wants you around or you would not be invited to hang out with his friends.

I presume that you mean a man, not a performing seal? Every one is not the same. If you don't like the way he is then move on, its what dating is all about. You can't change him and he will never be anything but himself, Don't worry about what your friends say.
