If it gets infected you may feel feverish. If so, the dentist can check it out and give you a prescription for antibiotics.

It would need to be x-rayed to be sure but it sounds like it may have a puss-pocket at the root again and if that is true, the infection could cause the temp. It also could be a tooth next to the one you previously had done. Sometimes, on my teeth, the pain radiates, it feels like one tooth hurting but will be the neighbor tooth.
I have lots of tooth pain so I really sympathize for you. Good luck. Yes, it usually happens on a Friday night, also. Ha ha With no dentist in on a Saturday.

Sounds like you have an abscess in your tooth. That is
an infection. Either that or you have some food lodged
inside your gums that is pressing against a nerve which
is causing pain. Make a appointment with your dentist.

Yes, the fever and the pain is being caused by an infection . Get back to the dentist quickly before it involves other teeth!

Go to the dentist immediately. The fever is an indication of a more serious problem. Don't hesitate even if you wake up tomorrow and the fever is gone. THIS IS NOT NORMAL

If the root canal work was done to the upper jaw it's quite possible that the mastoid bone area is enflamed. This is a bad thing. I had it from ear infection, but never a tooth job.

The pain won't cause a fever, but an infection will. Go back to your dentist asap...

Yes, it can. You may have an infection, and if you do in that area, its very close to your brain, which is a concern.
If you feel worse, don't wait, go to the Emergency Room at your local hospital. Otherwise, at the very least, make an appointment with your dentist immediately.
