I've read the book... it's actually pretty good for getting at least an introductory level of knowledge about fitness / exercise.
Don't be fooled by the title... it's actually a worthwhile book and you should definitely use it and take the tips it offers.
If you get more into fitness, you may want to look at getting a subscription to Muscle and Fitness or Runner's World or whatever particular sport interests you.

It really depends on your fitness level. Fitness For Dummies is a very basic beginners type book. If fitness is not new to you, there are several books out on the market that can help you to broaden your knowledge on fitness. I wish I knew what your level was so I could recommend a few. You could go to amazon.com and do a search on fitness books (since you know your own knowledge) and I'm sure you will find something that benefits you.

I haven't read the book. But I would highly recommend the 'for dummies' workout videos. They are great...challenging but not too difficult. The pilates one is a great intro to pilates and the abs one has gotten me great results. I'm sure the book is good...but the videos will really get results.

it's good if you're a dummy, but not if you're smart, I recommend "exercise for morons and that means you too" JUST KIDDING that's not a real book, I really recommend "the well-to-do's guide to a healthy lifestyle"
