Personally, I would get someone who knows a little about cars to look at the ignition. Something might be lodged in there that could be cleaned out. It wouldn't be over $300 for most (newer) cars around here (old ones are far less), but you could check that where you are by calling a locksmith, to just replace the thing.

If its just not worth messing with, do what the mechanic said, list it as is, where is... It will sell as long as you are asking a reasonable price the car. Some will know how to hot-wire it to see how it runs anyway. Check prices in your area by looking in the newspapers for non-running vehicles. Many Junkyards will also pay salvage price... like $75 or so.

merely run yet another advert on CL quote the fee as $seven-hundred organization, take it or flow away it. somebody will at last come alongside. in case you tow it to an public sale it may no longer convey $3 hundred because of the fact it incredibly is not any longer working and you'd be out the tow bill. faster or later somebody could have a injury and desire a physique or desire the motor and could be extra beneficial than chuffed to pay the fee. FYI somewhat some autos sit down on vehicle plenty for an prolonged, long term earlier they sell.

Try listing it on Craigs List. They have all different categories.
Make sure to describe whats wrong with it. You could also
sell it for parts.
