the many sacrifices committed by the Aztecs(even though not all Mexicans were Aztecs)? If the answer is no, why should we hold Americans personally responsible, even if their family was not here at the time, for the deeds of Americans who came here hundreds of years before? When is it time to stop living in the past? Why is it only Americans should account for the misdeeds of their ancestors?

No, Mendi, I am talking about all these people who insist on bringing Columbus and 1492 into this issue.

No one should be held accountable for the past grievances brought on by earlier generations against people. Those folks on both sides of the issue are long gone and so is the past. Lets try to straighten up what is going on in the present, so in the future there may not be this debate.

California was ignored by the mexican government and declared independence and shortly after applied for entry into the United States. (of course this was after US troops showed up at the govenors house)
Northern Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado were taken as reparations after the Mexican-American war. The Southern part of Arizona (Gadsen Purchase) Was paid for.
Texas Declared its independace from Mexico and later join the US.
also: Mexico asked US citizens to move to Texas so they got what they asked for.
The Aztecs empire never reached what is now the southwestern US so claims that all of it belongs to Mexico now are false claims.
Blaming anyone for the deeds of their Ancestors is of course silly. But makes for good Political Correctness.
Until Leftists decide to be reasonable and take responsibility for themselves, non of this craziness is going to stop.
Perhaps those people who consider themselves moderate politically should abandon those parties which have become extreme in their views and Join with Libertarians to stop the nuttiness.

I admit that I am the imposter, Will you ever forgive me for all the nasty things I said and did?
I always wanted to be a princess, but mommy whipped me with a coathangerfor wearing her underthings on my head, it warped me. The doctor says I will get better if I take my medicine. I dont like enemas if they are cold. Warm ones feel nice. I love dogs, literally. My hermophroditic gay lover, EL INDIO is an illegal, I cant help that I am so twisted and sick, its just the way I am. My pet monkey is a naughty girl, she always sneeks into our playroom and makes a mess. We named her NANCY, aint that a beautiful name?

Here is the way I feel about reparation. My ancestors were slave holders in Virginia, South Carolina, and Kentucky prior to emancipation. During the Civil War and after much of their property was destroyed, they lost their slaves and their income was severely cut. I might of inherited all of that. I believe all you abolitionists and descendants of slaves owe me. Pay up.

if someone steals you car and then dies but before dying wills your car to a relative and then you see your car in the street ¿is it still your car? ¿can you walk up to the person and claim it? ¿can you go to the police and denounce the individual driving your car? ¿should the car be restored to you its lawful owner? or since it was stolen by someone else ¿you no longer hold any claim over it? what if the person driving your car told you to stop living in the past ¿would you do it?, what if the police told you that since he did not steal he is not accountable for what his relative did so the car is his now?, not that easy to pass judgments now ¿is it?.

I like for people to bring up past wrongs from time to time, but most especially when they can draw a valid parallel between a past wrong and a current one. We learn from history.
