Wow! Been there, done that! I'm 24 now but when I was 15 I was dating that same man I shouldn't have been dating. I would defiantly listen to Rebbecca & Not2Nite's advise and maybe also make conversations when they can come up discussing some older guy dating a younger girl and speaking of how slimey it is. Mention that you remember being her age and thinking it would be no big deal (Even if this is a lie...) and realizing when you got to your early 20's how wrong and discusting it is! Even after my relationship with my older black man was over I didn't realize how WRONG and DISCUSTING it was until after I became his age! Then it dawned on me how I would NEVER consider dating someone that much younger or less mature. It's a personal insult as well as being illegal. Remind her how it shows that a man isn't even good enough for someone his own age so he chooses to prey on a younger, more impressionable crowd.

You should have made a rule about dating that required all guys to pick her up at the door. It is old fashioned, but if they want to date, they will do it. My parents did that with me and I am not that old. (I just had really old parents) You should also make an age rule. I would have never been allowed to date anyone over 19 at that age.
Anyway, make this rule and put it in place starting NOW. 23 is too old for a 16 year old whether he is black or white or whatever.

I would ask her but at the same time try and get around asking her directly. 23 is way to old. My dad had a rule till I was 18.. Within 3 years. And I dont know what state your in but thats probly illegal.

she obviously doesnt trust you and your communication is off balance. at 16, it shouldnt matter if he's purple, she shouldnt be dating a man of that age. and how, pretell do u know his age and race but not his identity? are u listening to rumors or this just your worst nightmare? a BLACK man? she obviously hasnt opened up to you about this, so where have u gotten the info that u have thus far? maybe u could find out his identity wherever u got ur current info.

make rule. every time she goes out with anybody, even her own friends, to come in and meet you. try to ask the principal or her friend's parents if they seen her with this guy. make a rule about it as if u have no idea. if she still does not listen, THEN u can break her neck. make a long caring speech on how u trust her. she will break through and confess if she is a good person.

The age difference should concern you the most. She is at a particularly vulnerable age. I suggest talking to her, not in a confrontational manner. Tell her you're concerned, etc.

The problem is the fact that your daughter doesn't communicate with you. I would work on your relationship with her and then she might open up about what's going on in her life.

You should ask her instead of trying to snoop. It might make her hate you and even rebel against you. She might get pregnant by the black guy just to make you mad, and you wouldn't want that, would you?
