too much caffeine can affect kidneys and bladder and dehydrate . and make you jittery. dehydrate is tough on skin hair and whole body long term.
keeps some people awake. i drink diesel strength espresso to wake up as i am ill,but i cant drink it past noon if i want to sleep well.
sugar free is often chemical instead .in that case chose limited sugar.
natural is better.
and if you eat healthy and get enough rest don't need so much unless your sick and you'll look younger longer!

A lot of research has been done on caffeine and there are plenty publications. And what they all show there are good effects of caffeine and there are not so good ones - on certain people with certain conditions. It depends on the person who drinks it. Some people have a nervous system which reacts very easily, their heartbeat goes up high, their blood pressure rises and those conditions can be dangerous.

For many other people it is just refreshing and that's all. When I drink coffee, lots of coffee, my blood pressure gets just right and my heart can deal with a few more beats per minute, that's fine. I also can sleep after caffeine, many people can not.

And then some people get addicted to coffee and they say it is the caffeine. But also this does not apply to all people. There are many who do not get addicted at all. I am one of them, drinking a lot of coffee. But if there is none, I do not even think about it.

So - this all is really very individually different.

If you are happy and fine with your coffee and you are otherwise healthy, with no heart, blood pressure or nervous system problems then it's not a problem. In fact - I think it is really much better than drinking sweetened drinks. Sugar is definitely not healthy and this starts already in the mouth with tooth decay, goes over to diabetes and to obesity.

caffiene actually prevents the body from absorbing nutrients and minerals into the bones (calcium, vitamin D) which will cause arthritis and osteoporosis later in life..and because it is derived from cocaine it acts as a stimulant and gets your heart pumping and if you have a heart problem or your stressed and you have caffiene it can cause you to have a heart attack
