i have an uncle who is a major WW2 buff. i got a jacket from him, but im not sure where its from. on the shoulder is a patch, but there is a criss cross stitching over the patch. there is a word in it. the letters are: BUNDESG_ENZSCHUYZ. the underscore is either an R or a B

Are you sure it's WWII? The German army was known back then as the Wehrmacht, now it's the Bundeswehr.

Bundesgrenzschutz is State Border Guard, ie the German border patrol.

it's post WWII because bundesgrenzschutz ( border guards ) is a unit of the bundeswehr ( German army ) and the term bundeswehr is the name used after the war.
the name of the German army in the WW II is Wehrmacht heer
