does it hurt to get the top part of ur ear done coz im thinking of gettin it done and ur nose does it hurt as well

I had my nose pierced back in April and my boyfriend went with me and really it didn't hurt much at all. it is quick and really quite painless. you might get sort of a headache afterwards though... and it is sensitive for about a week. Make CERTAIN you use Sea Salt to clean it with though. okay! do not use anything else that they might tell you. Sea Salt is the absolute best. i have 3 friends with horror stories on nose and ear piercings. Use Sea Salt and you won't have any problem. The pain.... it lasts for a second. That's nothing compared to loss of a love in your life.

The top of the ear does hurt and that is coming from someone with 9 tattoos which did not hurt in the slightest.
I pierced my own nose and no pain at all, I know some girls who have had theirs done in shops and have had pain, infections etc... You are a ware if it hits a nerve it can paralyse your face, if you pierce it yourself as soon as you hit anything you automatically pull it out, but with the speed of the gun it is too late.

I wouldn't know about the nose, but the top of the ear, no it doesn't hurt to get it done at all (My piercer-trainee friend did mine.) It is a place that has very little cartilage to go through, and therefore doesn't hurt (in comparison to say, tragus which I had pierced recently, and the push through the cartilage makes a disgusting crunch. ;) ).
It hurts a little afterwards for a few days, but that can't be avoided. It'll subside within 2 weeks on average.
Make sure you treat it right and it should be fine. Please have it done with a needle and not a gun. It is better off for your health (guns shatter surrounding cartilage), the healing process, and for sanitary sterilisation reasons! Good luck!

Hurts a bit more than the lobe cos you're piercing through cartilage. Had top of my ear done but not my nose. Would imagine having your nose done would bring a tear to the eye!!

I never got my nose pierced, but I did get the top of the ear. I was 17 with I got it done or younger. I don't where it anymore but I know it didn't hurt at all. I know I would never get my nose done I never like it at all.

yes, quite a bit. It goes through cartlidge there, and that hurts.
More if its a "body" piercing there, as they use a needle and plastic tube, to put a thicker ring through, less if its a thin, normal earing "gun" piercing.
I have my ear (normal place) done (with a sewing needle, as a teenager) and the top of my other ear done, needle method, and my eyebrow, nip and belly button, so ive got the "set" i guess, as far as blokes go, without looking goth.
Least painful is belly, nip insnt anywhere near as painful as you'd think, eyebrown is a pain as it catches on tops whilst healing, and generally, all take 2 months at least to feel normal, not tender. Nose? easy peasy, from what ive heard.

Top of ear hurts more when ya try & sleep on it for the next few weeks.
Nose feels like a big flick & makes ya eyes water for a bit but not exactly pain.

top of the ear is quite painful, the nose just makes your eyes water a little but dont really hurt

You are getting metal stuck through your body. It's not gonna feel like dancing in candy floss.
Its not too bad though. Bearable. Just make sure they do it with a needle and not with a gun cus that is just wrong and it will look crap.
Dont drink alcohol the day before either cus it thins the blood and makes you bleed loads. Trust me, I know.
Steer clear of the nose or lip. Looks crap.

Top of ear hurts more than nose, the nose is a lot softer
