Not unless you let him into your mind.

It is different for different people.
Some people can watch those slash-em-up movies and laugh at them. I can't honestly think that the devil has taken over on this.
Then there's the movies that are scary because they have a sense of there is the possibility that those things CAN happen. Do you think it's the devil's doing because people are scared into worrying about how NOT to get into that situation?
I think a lot depends on the individuals who watch the movies, their maturity level, and how they allow the movie to affect their personal lives.
If a person watches a slash-em-up movie and decides that slashing people up is cool, and another person watches the same thing and is disgusted with the sick mind of the killer on the screen, would you not agree that there's the possibility that one of those two was not only unaffected by the devil but was tuned in to God?
I went to a Catholic school in my childhood and have heard the same thing, but in my adulthood, I have learned not to be too quick to generalize things.

Many Christians believe this is true because there have been cases where demons have been removed from persons bearing the names of television shows.
Also many of these horror movies have actual chants and parts of satanic worship. Even when a movie might make reference to something you might think is very imaginative, it actually happens. Some of the symbols we see and often times wear are also demonic, it's just that they are stylized and not easily identifiable.
I personally love a good scary movie (though none are being made any more) but your spiritual beliefs also have to do a lot with it

I think the devil is quite real, however I believe that a scary movie isn't an invitation for the devil. You shouldn't let a movie, book, etc. persuade you towards such evil things. But then again, there is a world out there we ALL have no idea about.

Ask your old teacher to prove the devil exists. they are paid to teach, not fill your mind with superstitious rubbish. report him / her to the board of governors.

Not at all. You're simply allowing Hollywood into your mind...which is ten times worse than the devil.

I hope it's your Sunday school or christian school teacher, because if not your teacher doesn't have any business talking about the devil.

Hmmm.. dont think so. I guess it's tough to prove one way or the other though. I once heard someway say that being hyptnotized can do that but who really knows.

Do you believe everything you see in a movie? Its all make-believe. Made up by people like you and me. Grow up and get your own opinions.
