you can read the anecdotal evidence from your book of fairy tales all you want, it still isn't proof.

You have about as much proof as I do of mine. I can quote ancient writings as well.
I just read an article, though I'm not sure how factual it really is, that some scientists are taking a closer look at the e-mc *squared*. And it doesn't really apply to the verse you posted, as it is talking about what God gives... and the scientific equation is not speaking about that at all.
There are people healed by Pagan Gods as well. Do you consider these just as credible? Or do you simply pass it off as "Satan"?
Life is random. Random things happen within life all the time. Though, some people would just call them Miracles or Acts of God.
Who says I haven't experienced it? Because it does not match how you experience it means I haven't experienced it at all?

Just write a book, make up from scratch a whole new way of explaining the universe and everything in it,and that will be as valid as the Bible. Well at least the church doesn't burn scientists at the stake anymore for making scientific discoveries that prove things in the bible wrong. Unfortunately that came too late for some.

Remember in the movie Oh God when John Denver called God to the witness stand? Something like that has to happen.
Now I suppose if God spoke personally to me I might believe. Just like personally I have experienced what some would call ghosts or spirits, but I don't have proof - no pictures, ectoplasmic residue or one visible trailing me around - nothing other than my word so I don't go around trying to convince other people.

why in the world would anyone think Luke 12:48 is talking about physics? you are completely taking that out of context and giving it a meaning that is totally different from what was intended by the writer. why do you assume that in the middle of giving a parable about the end of the world Jesus would give a physics lesson?

You got it bad. You are trying to use the bible to prove itself. Doesn't work that way. You have proved nothing and the worse part is that factual scientific proof could be laid before you and you'd not believe any of it because you would refuse to see it. I guess that is why they call it blind faith.

That's not proof. There is one thing that could happen to prove there is a god (to me, not for anyone else) and maybe I'll start believing. But for now, no.

It doesn't matter what type of deity I believe in, this is still proof of absolutely nothing. Besides, this argument really makes no sense.
