I feel like a total tool asking this, but I figure it's worth a shot. Okay, so these two girls come up to me during lunch, let's call them J and K. I've known these two for a while now and they're both more popular than I am, but they've always been perfectly friendly. Anyway, we start talking for a while, K seems particuarly interested in the conversation. Eventually, towards the end, K asks if I want to contribute to the yearbook. We exchange e-mails. Now, I may be reading too much into this, but is K trying to tell me something? Homecoming is coming up, so I think it's a possibility. Please answer!

The conversation was mostly other personal stuff. The yearbook came up at the end.

I'm kind of in the middle, popularity wise. I'm far from the bottom, but I'm not at the top either. My school's kinda wierd. And by "contribute" she was wondering if I had any pics I could contribute to the yearbook.

It's possibly but too early to tell. It seems innocent though really. Just keep in touch with her to find out if she had any intentions behind asking for your email address. Sounds like she's just a good friend though.

O.K. When you say more popular than u....what level of popularity are you at? Are you like the next clique down from the popular kids or you like so far into dorkdom there's no retrieving you back? The reason why I ask is if you somewhat popular then she maybe hitting on you b/c the transition wouldn't be difficult for to switch from one clique to the next ya know, but if you're like a no body in school...then yeah she was just trying to schmooze you into helping out with the yearbook.

Although, what does contributing mean...did you give her money or are you going on yearbook staff. Here's why I ask...if it's money then a girl AWAYS knows how to flirt with a dude to get a some money out of him...*shrug* sorry it's just the truth....but if she's asking you actually help by being on yearbook staff then yeah she probably is b/c only the popular kids are on yearbook staff.

*shrug* didn't mean to confuse you.

Maybe. Was she flirty...or just nice? Does she have like a bf? things like that...and was all the conversation just about the year book or did she ask you some more personal stuff?
hope that helps!
