to me, there is something very classy about the old faithful martini. I don't know if it is the glass or just the appearance of the olive or onion in the drink. I do take notice when people are enjoying one.

Good vodka (Absolut, Kettle One...something like that), on the rocks. Not flavored vodka. Stick with tradition. Plus if you spill it, nothing gets stained, and if you want to switch to ice water later, nobody will know the difference.
