It's Friday the 13th...supposedly the day Adam and Eve were expelled from the Garden of Eden, a 13th century Pope had the Knights Templars tortured and cruicified and there is another story but I can't remember it about why Friday the 13th is unlucky...not an inspirational story but a timely story nevertheless.
Food for thought anyway....

I like this, author unknown

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed
he was walking along the beach with the LORD.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of
footprints in the sand: one belonging
to him, and the other to the LORD.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of
his life there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the very
lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he
questioned the LORD about it:
"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow
you, you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when
I needed you most you would leave me."

The LORD replied:
"My son, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."

Sometimes you are the pigeon, sometimes the statue.

The light at the end of the tunnel may be a train heading in your direction.

Maybe you're not paranoid, maybe everybody really is out to get you.

The best one of all:
Never underestimate the ability of a complete idiot

I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
