Yesterday I violated Yahoo!'s terms of use accidently. They took 10 points from and sent me an email. I acknowledge that made a mistake but what I don't understand if they can respond that fast to what I did, why can't they respond that fast to people who come on here using insulting and innapropriate language? We don't have to agree with each other but we should be respectful to each other.

I report them every time. And to Evol I'm not going to be quiet when I feel strongly about something. I don't care if it's just the internet...

In a way I agree with you...But you must understand that if you done wrong as to the out line of Yahoo system here you have to pay the consequences.
The retard one here said, should not be on in the religious section he belongs elsewhere, they should do something here.

A lot of it has to do with how quickly you're reported by other users. Questions get cycled through here pretty quickly, so sometimes they don't get caught. I would imagine, too, that so many questions pop up, with so many reports coming in, that if they actually have a staff that handles the violations, there's no way they can catch everyone. Also, people seem to find the really repulsive ones to much fun to answer, so instead of reporting, they just make fun of the posters.

They probably don't bother going through alot of them because some people are reporting for trivial things. Maybe its just the luck of the draw and they just pick so many out and send violations and others get away with it.

I lost 10 points & got an email too. For using the technical term for an anus - I didnt call anyone that, I just suggest that they pull their head out.
I see a lot of kids on here. And, a lot of hostile rude things and I doubt much happens to them. Maybe yahoo only has one person monitoring us. I dont know.

i get violation notices all the time even when i havent done anything wrong at all. SOme peole are just so mean out there that they report you if they do not like your opinion.

They will never respond to you. I tried emailing them about an unjustified violation and they never got back to me. Yahoo is like that. It doesn't really care, it just greases the squeeky wheels.

The reason why they responded fast to your violation is probably it was reported while the moderator was present..Sometimes it takes days for them to respond..God bless.
